Control who can see and do what in your DataMagik company.
Access in DataMagik is built from a few layers: users belong to your company, roles group a set of permissions, and permissions gate specific features. On top of that, a small set of built-in permission tiers decides broad capabilities.
The permission tiers
| Tier | What it grants |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Read and use — open apps, run saved queries, and view dashboards and documents. |
| Builder | Everything a Viewer can do, plus create and edit — build automations, scripts, apps, dashboards, templates, and connectors. |
| Security | Manage users, roles, and permissions; manage credentials and secrets; and install solution recipes. |
| Admin | Full company administration, including company-wide settings. |
Beyond these tiers, you can create your own roles and permissions to gate individual apps, dashboards, and features to exactly the people who should have them.
